My name is Bas, and I am the creator of this website. Because I often saw a certain panda at our colleagues' Flickr site, I decided to give it a try. The result? RailShoot: a website where you can freely share your photos, and where you always retain the rights. It is entirely focused on railways because that is where my passion lies. I did not want any complicated options, just a simple, chronological overview of photos. I follow people and get a nice list of photos, neatly sorted by date and time. There's no AI here, nor any unnecessary data. At a time when everything seems to revolve around AI, this proved more difficult than expected. Although AI helped to get the code right (try finding a typo in thousands of lines of code...), it was written entirely by myself. In any case, I'm learning a lot about various languages, the internet and how everything works.
